How many of you have said recently, “This year has flown by”? We have. Leaves are falling, and snowflakes crystallize just around the corner. Every year has its special times, difficult seasons and familiar days. Some years stand out more than others for their special-ness or their difficulty.
A.D. 2026 has been a year for the history books for us personally and for PPI! We kicked off the year with a house flood, restored and remodeled for the next six months, then enjoyed some time with our kids this summer and celebrated our daughter’s wedding in early fall. It’s been a roller-coaster ride, but we thank the Lord for all of it!

With the Lord’s help, we will make the most of the final 68 days of 2026, investing every moment for Christ in these spiritually dark times (Ephesians 5:16). I leave for central Haiti on Monday, where our team will lead three (3) PPI courses. We look forward to conversation with Pastor Laner Lefort, our host pastor in Hinche, who oversees the Youth Job Training program there.

Then I will return to northern Haiti in early December to work with our team to offer three (3) more PPI courses. I’ll also participate in this year’s ITEPHA Bible Institute graduation in Ouanaminthe on December 20 before heading home for the holidays. In addition, Pastor Rob Mathis will lead PPI Courses 1 and 2 for Haitian pastors in the northern Dominican Republic. We’re excited about the growth of pastors training there!
In sum, we will offer eight (8) PPI courses before year-end (6 in Haiti and 2 in DR) for over 700 church leaders, Lord willing. Please pray for us and every church leader involved in the rest of our 2026 training courses. We have a full two months ahead of us before this year concludes!
Speaking of sums, our Take the Road South matching giving challenge is gathering steam. PPI friends have committed all the “matching money” ($25,000) for the challenge, and many of you have already given toward the cost of extending PPI training to southern Haiti. Thank you! We plan to travel to south Haiti in early 2027 to continue training church leaders there. Please partner with us in this next Kingdom venture! GIVE HERE

What are you looking forward to these last two months of 2026? How can the Lord use you to bless others in Jesus’ name? Whatever special times or difficulties come your way in the next 68 days, I encourage you to make the most of every moment for Christ before this year heads for the history books!
Bondye beni nou, zanmi yo ! (May God bless you, friends!)
