Thank you for considering a gift of stock or other securities to Partnership of Pastors International (PPI). You can donate directly and securely from your investment account to PPI’s brokerage account. This is a great way to invest in training pastors, while potentially avoiding tax on appreciated securities!

Here’s how to do it:
- Tell your investment company you want to make a direct transfer of stock (or other securities) to Partnership of Pastors International, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. If you own appreciated securities, transferring them directly to a qualified charitable organization such as PPI – rather than selling them first and donating the cash – may allow you to avoid capital gains tax on the appreciation.
- Follow your investment company’s specific instructions. Your broker may require a Letter of Authorization (LOA), a transfer form, or other documentation. We are happy to provide any information or assistance needed.
- Give your investment company these details for directly transferring securities to PPI:
- Name of charitable organization: Partnership of Pastors International
- EIN: 82-5271637
- Type of brokerage account: Corporate account
- Fidelity’s DTC (Depository Trust Company) number: 0226
- Fidelity’s mailing address, if needed:
- Fidelity Investments
- Attn: TOA Receives
- P.O. Box 770001
- Cincinnati, OH 45277-0036
- Let us know when you make the securities donation. Please give us:
- Your name
- The name and ticker symbol of the security you are donating
- The approximate dollar amount or number of shares of your donation
- The name of your brokerage company
This information helps us watch for and properly identify your gift.
- Once we receive your donation of securities, we will:
- Let you know we have received your gift to PPI.
- Record your donation in PPI’s financial records.
- Send you a letter formally acknowledging your securities gift. We do not assign the tax-deductible value of your donation. Your broker or tax advisor will help you with the value of your gift and any other tax reporting requirements.
Securities you can donate to PPI:
- Publicly traded stocks
- Exchange-traded funds (ETFs)
- Mutual funds
- U.S. Treasury securities (bills, notes, bonds, etc.)
- Corporate bonds and notes
- Municipal bonds (nontaxable or taxable)
- Other publicly traded investment instruments
Let us know if you have questions about donating securities to Partnership of Pastors International. And thank you for your investment in encouraging, training and resourcing church leaders in Haiti and other developing countries!
